Job Description

upport the preparation and timely submission of monthly GST returns, ensuring full compliance with all statutory obligations, including registrations and necessary amendments.

ii.                   Provide analysis and advisory services on GST implications for projects, new business ventures, and transactions.

iii.                 Conduct and oversee the reconciliation of tax balances and credits with GSTR-2A, as well as GL entries in the company’s accounting records.

iv.                 Monitor relevant tax and regulatory updates, keeping all stakeholders informed of significant changes that could impact the business.

v.                   Ensure adherence to correct tax accounting practices, including the accurate calculation and reporting of balance sheet provisions and contingent liabilities.

vi.                 Draft and submit responses to tax notices and correspondence, and represent the company in hearings with government tax authorities.

vii.                Work closely with consultants and law firms to stay informed of industry developments, and communicate important updates to business teams.

viii.              Identify opportunities for tax optimization and collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with tax policies across all operations.

ix.                  Drive process improvement initiatives, including tax technology implementations, to minimize risk and enhance/improve tax compliance.

x.                   Coordinate with auditors and other stakeholders in providing the required GST-related data in the appropriate formats.

 

  1. Qualifications and Skills:
  1. The candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with 4 to 6 years of experience, specializing in GST and Customs.
  2. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data, are essential.

Prior experience with SAP is required.
