Job Description

Senior Executive – Finance & Accounts (GL/MIS)
About the Role
The Senior Executive – Finance & Accounts will be responsible for managing General Ledger accounting, financial reporting, month-end closures, MIS preparation, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, audit coordination, and compliance activities. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise to ensure accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, regulatory compliance, and timely business insights. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive operational excellence, process improvements, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
1. General Ledger & Financial Accounting
•    Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) accounting activities across assigned entities/business units.
•    Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of accounting transactions in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, and internal accounting policies.
•    Review and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, reclassifications, control adjustments, and other accounting entries.
•    Maintain chart of accounts and accounting master data integrity.
•    Support accounting treatment for complex transactions and provide technical accounting guidance.
2. Financial Closing, Consolidation & Reporting
•    Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes within defined timelines.
•    Prepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements, schedules, notes to accounts, and management reports.
•    Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights on key financial movements.
•    Review balance sheet and P&L accounts for completeness and accuracy.
•    Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and elimination entries during financial reporting and consolidation processes.
•    Ensure timely preparation and review of MIS reports for management decision-making.
3. Reconciliations & Internal Controls
•    Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely closure of outstanding items.
•    Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
•    Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure adherence to internal control frameworks.
•    Identify process gaps and drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Review accounting schedules and supporting documentation to ensure reporting accuracy.
4. Audit, Taxation & Compliance
•    Act as the key coordinator and liaison for statutory, internal, tax, and regulatory audits.
•    Ensure timely submission of audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
•    Support compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and regulatory reporting obligations.
•    Assist in implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
•    Support tax-related activities including deferred tax accounting, tax reconciliations, and coordination with tax consultants.
•    Ensure compliance with applicable direct and indirect tax requirements.
5. Technical Accounting & Business Support
•    Apply strong knowledge of Ind AS and financial reporting requirements in day-to-day accounting operations.
•    Analyze complex accounting transactions and recommend appropriate accounting treatment.
•    Support leadership with financial analysis, reporting, and business insights.
•    Partner with cross-functional teams to improve finance processes and reporting quality.

Candidate Profile
•    2-4 years of post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Power, EPC, Manufacturing, or large corporate environments.
•    Strong experience in General Ledger Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Statement Preparation, Month-End Closures, and Audit Coordination.
•    Good understanding of Ind AS, accounting standards, consolidation principles, intercompany accounting, elimination entries, and deferred tax accounting.
•    Experience in balance sheet reconciliations, MIS reporting, schedule reviews, and internal controls.
•    Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent finance platforms will be preferred.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Educational Qualification
•    CA preferred.
