Job Description

Key Responsibilities-


1. Trading Operations Management (24×7)

Manage round‑the‑clock shift operations to ensure smooth execution of all trading activities.
Monitor real‑time market updates, price movements, system alerts, and trading opportunities during live market windows.
Ensure timely decision-making and error‑free execution of operational tasks during each shift.
Maintain proper handover reports between shifts, ensuring transparency and continuity in operations.

2. Client Registration & Compliance

Register clients on multiple statutory and regulatory platforms such as NOAR, Power Exchanges, REC Registry, and other state/central agency portals.
Upload and validate documents, maintain compliance records, and ensure adherence to market and regulatory procedures.
Track updates from regulatory bodies and ensure that all client accounts remain compliant and active.

3. Bid Management & Submission

Prepare and submit accurate bids across different market segments including DAM, RTM, GDAM, G-TAM, REC auctions, and other relevant segments.
Verify bid parameters such as quantities, prices, time blocks, and portfolio constraints.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all bids reflect business strategy, market expectations, and operational feasibility.
Maintain an audit trail of all submitted bids and ensure compliance with exchange rules.

4. Generation Portfolio Optimization

Analyze available generation capacity, schedules, constraints, and market conditions to maximize portfolio revenues.
Support strategic decision‑making related to sell/buy positions, curtailments, or rescheduling.
Collaborate with internal planning, forecasting, and asset management teams to ensure optimized power allocation across markets.

5. Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis

Track and analyze market trends, such as prices, volumes, liquidity patterns, and behavior of key market participants.
Analyze national and state‑level demand–supply scenarios, grid conditions, and seasonal variations to forecast trading opportunities.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly market intelligence reports to support strategic trading decisions.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate with SLDCs, RLDCs, power exchanges, market participants, and consumers for smooth transaction execution.
Address operational issues related to scheduling, revisions, curtailments, or deviations.
Communicate with consumers regarding their schedules, portfolios, and market opportunities.
Maintain strong working relationships with all regulatory and operational counterparts.

7. Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis

Monitor updates from CERC, SERCs, POSOCO, and other regulatory bodies.
Analyze changes in market rules, compliance requirements, and trading guidelines.
Assess the impact of regulatory changes on trading strategy, portfolio operations, and market positioning.
Prepare summaries and recommendations for management based on regulatory developments.


Required Experience

2 to 4 years of experience in power markets, energy trading operations, power exchange activities, scheduling, or related functions.


Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of power markets, bidding processes, and regulatory frameworks.
Good analytical abilities, especially in interpreting price trends and demand‑supply data.
Familiarity with SLDC/RLDC processes and exchange platforms.
Ability to handle time‑sensitive tasks in a fast‑paced, shift‑based operational environment.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Comfortable working in rotational shifts.
