Job Description
Role- SAP EWM Consultant
Experience: 5–6 Years
Location- Gurgoan
Education-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
Role Summary:
An SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing advanced warehouse management solutions using SAP EWM. The role bridges technical capabilities and warehouse operations to optimize end to end logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Implementation
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for EWM processes.
• Configure SAP EWM components including inbound/outbound processes, warehouse structure, storage types, work centers, POSCs/LOSCS, and warehouse order creation rules.
• Lead and support end to end EWM implementation cycles (Blueprint → Configuration → Testing → Go Live).
• Integrate EWM with SAP ECC/S4HANA modules such as MM, SD, PP, and TM.
2. Warehouse Operations Expertise
• Support warehouse strategies: putaway, picking, replenishment, and stock removal methods.
• Work with RF framework, develop/modify RF screens, and troubleshoot RF-based processes.
• Optimize warehouse processes by analyzing operational issues and recommending improvements.
3. Technical Coordination
• Collaborate with ABAP teams to design, test, and validate enhancements, RF developments, and custom objects.
• Work with middleware teams for interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, and integration frameworks.
4. Testing & Documentation
• Prepare test scripts, conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT with business stakeholders.
• Create functional specifications, configuration documents, SOPs, and training materials.
5. Go Live & Support
• Provide go live support, hypercare, and post production stabilization.
• Troubleshoot EWM process issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvements and change requests.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5–6 years of hands on experience in SAP EWM implementation and support.
• Strong integration experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Deep understanding of inbound, outbound, internal warehouse processes, HU management, and batch management.
• Experience with RF Framework, queue monitoring, and system troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of MFS (Material Flow System) is an added advantage.
• Exposure to EWM transportation components, wave management, slotting & rearrangement preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience with EWM on S/4HANA Embedded.
• Basic knowledge of SAP TM or Yard Management.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Experience working with global warehouse operations.
Soft Skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent documentation and presentation capabilities.
