The business is working towards accelerating investments in carbon sequestration projects through appropriate carbon credit frameworks, thereby aiding global action and support for the cause. You get a chance to write rules of the game for carbon business(es) globally.

Carbon business aspires to ramp up its capability to be able to develop, invest in and implement projects globally, with an objective to generate tradeable carbon offsets. We are venturing into all three types of carbon offset solutions i.e. Community based, Nature based and Engineered solutions. Investments have already been committed and these projects would be able to generate about 1Mn carbon credits per annum, for next 7 to 10 years. We intend to scale the business at a fast pace and get to next order of magnitude soon.

Job description

Support ReNew in the engineered removal team to develop projects across Biochar, DAC, CCUS, ERW and other emerging sectors. As part of the technology vertical in the Carbon team it is your responsibility to stay abreast of the rapidly growing engineered removal landscape and identify leading technologies and players in the field.

Undertake due diligence to support the evaluation of technologies for development and investment opportunities. You shall execute Conceptual, Basic and Detail Process Engineering with your team and external partners with focus on optimizing our plants enabling fast upscaling of our Carbon capture projects.

Monitoring of the performances of existing large scale and pilot projects in order to allow for detailed LCOC and LCOS calculations
Techno-economical assessment and analysis of the best and most innovative CO2 utilization solutions and technologies for each different project and initiative.
Provide technical support to research and development projects.
Report progress on development programs – action tracker, timing, deliverables, milestones and budget.
Manage relationships with technology partners such as capture technology companies, biochar OEMs, utilization providers and other relevant players in the engineered removal field
You take ownership of this process by evaluating partners and by collaborating cross-functionally with different departments.
You will be the owner of information repository for all the important happenings across the globe in the Carbon Capture space.
Requirements

You have a Master's degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or relevant experience in working in the cutting edge industry.
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineered removal market in either OEMs or developers.
You are desired to be well versed with international & national standards about carbon capture.
Demonstrate relevant experience with Product Leadership, Innovation, Engineering, Process, Manufacturing;
Have experience, ideally, with key carbon capture process equipment design and sales, product management and market assessment;
Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence teams, customers, and stakeholders;
Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solving problems and providing resolutions;
Be able to travel domestically and internationally to customer sites or offices.
You are able to communicate and transmit complex technical content with critical public perception, ideally geological CO2 storage, in simplified manner.
