Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesPlant Operations ManagementManage day-to-day operations of multiple solar PV plants within the assigned cluster.Ensure maximum plant availability and generation performance.Monitor plant performance through SCADA and other monitoring systems.Analyze generation losses and implement corrective actions.Ensure compliance with contractual KPIs and SLAs.Maintenance ManagementPlan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.Ensure timely rectification of equipment failures and breakdowns.Monitor health and performance of modules, inverters, transformers, switchyard equipment, and transmission lines.Coordinate annual maintenance schedules and shutdown activities.Performance OptimizationMonitor Performance Ratio (PR), CUF, availability, and generation targets.Identify underperforming assets and implement improvement measures.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.Team LeadershipLead and supervise Site Managers, Engineers, Technicians, and O&M staff.Allocate resources effectively across sites within the cluster.Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs.Promote a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence.Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure adherence to HSE policies and statutory regulations.Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and permit-to-work systems.Maintain plant documentation and audit records.Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementCoordinate with OEMs, contractors, and service providers.Monitor vendor performance and contract compliance.Liaise with clients, utilities, and regulatory agencies as required.Support contract renewals and customer satisfaction initiatives.Budget & Cost ControlManage O&M budgets and operating expenses.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining plant reliability.Track inventory, spare parts consumption, and procurement requirements.Reporting & DocumentationPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.Present performance analysis and improvement plans to management.Maintain maintenance records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
