Job Description

Job Title: Manager – Green Hydrogen & Derivatives Project Development
Location: Gurgaon, ReNew Hub
Department: New Business / Green Hydrogen Division

Role Purpose:
Drive project development activities for Green Hydrogen and Derivatives, ensuring readiness for execution through effective regulatory alignment, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure preparedness, and tender participation. The role requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to advance projects from inception to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement & Market Intelligence

* Engage with government departments, PSUs, and regulatory agencies for project facilitation.
* Track industry trends, policies, and competitor developments to inform project strategy.

Infrastructure & Resource Readiness

* Conduct research and due diligence on land, ports, water infrastructure, and logistics.
* Identify and validate land parcels, ROW studies for pipelines/transmission, and logistics surveys.

Policy & Regulatory

* Analyze policies on open access, banking, and transmission impacting project viability.
* Obtain comfort letters and ensure project registration for subsidies and incentives.
* Facilitate CTU/STU connectivity in line with bidding strategy.

Financial Instruments & Incentives

* Support documentation for financial closure and subsidy compliance.
* Contribute to Project Execution Philosophy aligned with financial models.

Industry & EPC Ecosystem

* Maintain a database of EPC firms with expertise in hydrogen/ammonia projects.
* Support vendor assessments and technical evaluation.

Hydrogen Demand Assessment

* Support strategy by facilitating stakeholder engagements to assess demand potential.

Tendering & Project Development

* Identify project risks and bottlenecks during tender processes.
* Align project readiness—land, connectivity, utilities—with tender timelines.
* Ensure secure data room management for project handover.
* Support procurement of long-lead equipment and CAPEX/DEVEX planning.

State Expansion & Incentive Mobilization

* Shortlist and assess potential states for future projects based on incentives and infrastructure.
* Lead due diligence and approval processes for land acquisition.
* Drive project registration and statutory approvals for construction readiness.

Fund Raise & Partnerships

* Support BD in engagements with equity partners, investors, and multilateral agencies.
