Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the performance & operations of solar assets
2. Monitoring Key Performance Indicators & Manage risks
3. All management reporting - internal & external
4. Digital projects - act as a business translator, track implementation and report value achievements
5. Data ownership - Single source of the asset related data for all internal & external consumption
6. Provide routine & non-routine inputs to Solar asset management team for enhancing performance, productivity & reliability of assets.

Knowledge of Solar Plants:

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of solar plants to optimize performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

Team Management:

  • Capable of leading and managing a team of monitoring and control professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Collaboration with Top Management:

  • Work closely with top management to align operational strategies with overall business goals.
  • Provide regular updates and insights on the performance of renewable assets.

SCADA Configuration:

  • Demonstrate expertise in solar SCADA configuration.
  • Configure and optimize SCADA systems for efficient monitoring and control.

Stake Holder Queries:

  • Capable of answering stake holder queries regarding the operation and performance of renewable energy assets.
  • Provide clear and concise information to stakeholders.

Repetitive Errors Analysis
Record Keeping and Monitoring of Curtailments

Critical Parameter Analysis:

  • Analyze critical parameters affecting the performance of solar plants and wind turbines.
  • Develop strategies to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Daily Curtailment Report

Daily Generation Report - Portfolio Level

LPF Report:

  • Analyze Lost Production Factor (LPF) and prepare detailed reports.
  • Propose measures to maintain optimal power factor levels.

PLF/LPF Trend Report:

  • Monitor trends in Plant Load Factor (PLF) and LPF.
  • Prepare trend reports to identify patterns and optimize generation.

Prolonged Stoppages/Major Breakdown Report:

  • Investigate and prepare reports on prolonged stoppages and major breakdowns.
  • Provide recommendations for minimizing future occurrences.

Reliability Profile:

  • Develop and maintain reliability profiles for renewable energy assets.
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of the entire system.

SCADA Report:

  • Generate SCADA reports, presenting key operational data and system performance indicators.
  • Use SCADA data to optimize the control and monitoring of renewable assets.
  • Performance Ratio Reports

  • Outlier/Red Flag Report
  • Radiation Analysis

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • 6 to 10 years experience in monitoring and controlling renewable energy assets.
  • Expertise in SCADA configuration and operation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
