Job Description

General Job Description

The PM Lead - Mechanical (Sr. Engineer) is responsible for leading the Preventive Maintenance (PM) team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). The position reports directly to the Site In-charge and functionally to the State Mechanical Lead. The role is responsible for performing preventive, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner, including the installation, repair, and maintenance of turbine components and rotating machinery. Specially, Working Experience in Envision 3.3 MW (EN 156) WTG Model is Must.

Specific Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of WTGs as per the approved maintenance schedule along with the PM team.
• Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with company standards and requirements.
• Document all maintenance activities accurately and timely.
• Report any policy, procedure, or safety violations.
• Ensure timely closure of non-conformities (NCs) and issues identified during WTG technical audits.
• Raise material requisitions for unplanned or pending maintenance activities.
• Proactively monitor the availability of PM materials and spares at site and regional stores in line with maintenance plans.
• Take corrective actions to resolve identified defects and abnormalities.
• Guide and support team members in achieving maintenance and safety objectives.

• Completion of WTG Health Audits on a sample basis as per defined targets.
• Successful execution of special assignments and development activities as directed.
• Implementation of Kaizen and 5S initiatives at the site.
• Enhancement of PM team technical competency through training and coaching.
• Timely closure of audit observations, defects, and maintenance backlogs.
• Accurate and timely SAP data entry and maintenance documentation.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education: Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 6-10 years

• Mandatory Requirement: Hands-on experience in maintenance and operation of Envision 3.3 MW (EN-156) WTG.
