Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Key Responsibilities
•    Understand Business requirements related to energy bidding, trading, and market operations.
•    Design, develop, and maintain features on energy trading portal/application using Angular 17 (Frontend) and Node.js with NestJS (Backend).
•    Build, optimize, and manage MS SQL Server databases, including Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and SQL Jobs.
•    Develop secure RESTful APIs and manage authentication and authorization mechanisms.
•    Collaborate with business analysts, Product Manager, Data engineer, domain experts, and Trading teams to ensure seamless functionality.
•    Ensure application performance, speed, and reliability in real-time trading scenarios.
•    Document all new features, technical changes, and database architecture.
•    Monitor bid data flows and support system improvements to reduce missed bids or operational errors.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education:
•    B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT(Preferred Tier 1), or related field.

Technical Skills:
•    3-6 years of hands-on development experience with Angular and Node.js.
•    Solid understanding of Angular 17 (components, services, observables, reactive forms).
•    Proficiency in Node.js (v22.x) with experience using NextJS.
•    Strong SQL skills, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and SQL Job scheduling.
•    Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
•    Familiar with Git, experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Azure services, and application deployment is a plus.
•    Bonus: Exposure to the energy trading or power markets domain

Domain Expertise (Preferred)
•    Familiarity with energy trading platforms or ETRM (Power) experience is a Plus.
•    Understanding of market timelines, bid cycles, and trading workflows.
•    Exposure to tools commonly used in the energy/utilities domain.
•    Basic experience with Energy Market Data understanding (IEX)
•    Knowledge of system design, secure authentication, and role-based access control.

Soft Skills & Communication
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
•    Proficient in technical documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
•    Comfortable in agile stand-ups, and collaborative walkthroughs.

Team Collaboration & Work Ethic
•    Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable in a dynamic agile environment.
•    Works well with trading, operations, and product teams.
•    Able to respond quickly to critical issues during live market operations.
