Job Description

Job Level: Senior Manager
Work Location: Project Site (Assam or project state) – Full-time, site-based
Reporting To: Site Head – Green Hydrogen Projects


Key Responsibilities
- Package Execution & OEM Coordination
- Act as site lead for execution of all mechanical process packages including:
- Electrolyzers (alkaline or PEM) and associated skids
- Cooling Towers & Heat Exchangers
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
- Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
- Hydrogen purification, compression & storage units
- Nitrogen skid, PSA/DRM systems, etc.
- Coordinate equipment delivery, storage, installation readiness, and handshake with OEMs for commissioning
- Conduct site readiness checks for foundation, cable routing, piping supports before OEM mobilization
- Mechanical Supervision
- Oversee equipment foundation checks, alignment, grouting, anchor bolt setting
- Coordinate mechanical erection, skids placement, equipment supports, and integration piping (UG and AG)
- Review and verify equipment GA drawings, P&IDs, hook-up diagrams, and support site-level redlining
- Interface Management
- Interface with:
- Civil Lead for foundation readiness, trenches, and RCC requirements
- Electrical BOP Lead for power supply, grounding, earthing, and MCC/PCC integration
- Instrumentation Lead for signal integration and DCS readiness
- Piping Contractors for interconnectivity and hydrotesting readiness
- QA/QC and Safety Teams for work clearance and quality standards
- QA/QC & Compliance
- Enforce quality checks: alignment, bolt torqueing, hydrotesting, skid leveling, vibration acceptance
- Ensure that flushing, leak checks, NDT, pre-commissioning tests are performed as per QAP
- Participate in OEM testing, SATs, and punch-point resolution with QA/QC team
- Schedule & Progress Monitoring
- Maintain look-ahead plans for each package
- Review and track OEM deliverables, erection milestones, and commissioning timelines
- Report deviations and slippages and recommend mitigation actions to Site Head and HO
- Safety & Risk Control
- Enforce all mechanical safety protocols (rigging, hot work, pressure testing, confined space entry, etc.)
- Review risk assessments and method statements submitted by contractors and OEMs
- Documentation & Handover
- Maintain complete documentation for:
- Installation drawings, method statements, test reports, OEM manuals
- Redlined drawings and as-built updates
- Pre-commissioning and commissioning checklists
- Certify work completion and coordinate milestone sign-offs with QA/QC and Cost Control team

Candidate Profile
- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering (mandatory)
- Experience: 10–15 years in mechanical utilities/process systems execution
- Hands-on experience with OEM coordination and mechanical systems erection
- Exposure to greenfield industrial projects, preferably in:
- Hydrogen, chemical, pharma, fertilizer, power, or renewable plants

Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- P&IDs, GADs, isometrics, skid drawings, hookup diagrams
- Electrolyzer or utility plant layouts
- Mechanical systems testing & commissioning protocols
- Familiarity with:
- Hydrotesting, flushing, vibration testing, alignment
- Safety norms under Pressure Vessel and Rotating Equipment standards
