Job Description

Job Title: Lead – Functional Learning (1 Year Contract)

Department: Learning & Development / Human Resources

Location: Gurgaon

Reports to: Head – Learning Academy

Experience: 5–8 years

Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and driven professional to take on the role of Lead – Functional Learning within the Learning Academy. This role will be responsible for end-to-end management of functional learning programs across the organization — including program design and delivery, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, and measuring training effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in L&D, program management, and a learner-centric mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Management

• Design, plan, and manage the delivery of functional learning programs aligned with business needs.

• Maintain and execute the annual learning calendar for functional capability development.

• Coordinate with internal subject matter experts and external partners to ensure seamless program execution.

2. Vendor Coordination

• Identify, onboard, and manage external training vendors and consultants.

• Handle vendor contracts, budget negotiations, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality learning solutions.

• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong partner relationships.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business leaders, HRBPs, and department heads to assess learning needs and capability gaps.

• Communicate program strategy, updates, and outcomes to key stakeholders.

• Build alignment between functional learning initiatives and organizational goals.

4. Training Effectiveness & Impact

• Develop and implement frameworks to measure learning effectiveness (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model).

• Track program metrics such as participation, knowledge gain, and on-the-job application.

• Generate insights and reports to demonstrate business impact and continuously improve offerings.

5. Learning Innovation & Content Curation

• Curate and recommend relevant learning content (online, in-person, blended) tailored to functional teams.

• Incorporate digital tools, simulations, and modern learning methods to enhance engagement.

• Stay updated on L&D trends and incorporate best practices into program design.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Postgraduate degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field

• 5–8 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on functional capability building

• Demonstrated experience in managing vendors and working with cross-functional stakeholders

• Prior exposure to digital learning and blended learning models preferred
