Job Description

 


Job Title: Procurement Professional (EPC - SCM, Purchase, Procurement)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Professional with 8-10 years of expertise in EPC procurement, supply chain management, and vendor negotiations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling procurement activities, vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. Strong knowledge of SAP and exceptional negotiation skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering & RFQ Management:

  • Collaborate with Consultants and Technical Teams to collect project requirements.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) to the market.
  • Organize technical meetings with vendors to clarify scope and obtain compliance.
  • Secure technical approvals from user teams before finalizing vendor selection.

Vendor Negotiations & Contracting:

  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with vendors and suppliers.
  • Prepare Price Comparatives and conduct Reverse Auctions or manual negotiations.
  • Facilitate contract award processes and draft MoMs (Minutes of Meetings).
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Logistics departments for contract finalization.

Project Procurement & SAP Implementation:

  • Understand and manage Project BOM (Bill of Materials) and procurement needs.
  • Prepare and submit Notes for Approval (NFA) to management.
  • Ensure 100% SAP implementation for procurement activities.
  • Generate Purchase Requisitions (PR) in SAP and issue LOI/PO to vendors.

Vendor Coordination & Material Management:

  • Manage vendor mobilization, including manpower and equipment supply.
  • Arrange LC (Letter of Credit) acceptance and Proforma Invoices from suppliers.
  • Follow up with vendors for drawings, technical documents, and client approvals.
  • Work closely with the quality team for material inspection and approvals.
  • Maintain daily dispatch and received material records via trackers.

Project Execution & Performance Analysis:

  • Coordinate with contractors for site mobilization.
  • Track client acceptance, rejections, warranties, and claims until project completion.
  • Generate reports comparing budgeted versus actual procurement costs.
  • Research market trends to identify cost-effective sourcing opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
  • 8-10 years of experience in EPC procurement, supply chain management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP and procurement-related tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience handling procurement for Fire Fighting, HVAC, Electrical, and Mechanical packages.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale procurement projects within budget and timelines.
