Job Description

Job Responsibilities – Civil & Structural Design (Solar Power Plant)

  • Prepare detailed designs and drawings for civil and structural components of ground-mounted solar power plants.

  • Develop intricate civil and structural layouts for Module Mounting Structures, Inverters, ACSB, IDT, HT Panels, Power Transformers, and Transmission Lines.

  • Design sub-power structures including the Main Control Room, Inverter Room, Security Room, Watch Tower, and prefabricated buildings.

  • Design foundations for switchyard equipment, gantry towers, and transmission line towers.

  • Plan and design auxiliary civil structures such as internal roads, drainage systems, gates, fencing, boundary walls, and other essential site infrastructure.

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations, soil analysis, and site assessments to evaluate environmental suitability and ensure plant longevity.

  • Prepare technical specifications and perform structural calculations, ensuring alignment with IS codes and regulatory standards.

  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve design issues and ensure safety and code compliance.

  • Document all technical changes and progress across the project lifecycle.

  • Review and validate technical documents including design reports, specifications, drawings, and calculations for accuracy and completeness.

  • Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all civil and structural drawings.

  • Guide draftsmen for the preparation of Good for Construction (GFC) drawings.

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver within budget and schedule constraints.

  • Review vendor designs and drawings for switchyard civil and structural works.

  • Support the construction team by providing design clarifications and technical assistance.

  • Coordinate with procurement for vendor assessment to ensure technical adequacy and compliance with project specifications.
