Location: Project Site (Assam / as applicable)
Travel: Full-time site-based role
Duration: Full-time employment
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall Site Management
- Act as the single point of accountability for all site-related execution activities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day construction activities across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping, Instrumentation, Process, and Utility works
- Monitor and enforce safety, quality, progress, and cost control on site
- Chair daily/weekly site coordination meetings with subcontractors and internal teams
- Contractor Supervision & Work Package Coordination
- Manage execution through 3–4 specialized subcontractors (civil, electrical, process piping, mechanical, etc.)
- Ensure that contractors strictly follow scope, timelines, specifications, and contract deliverables
- Resolve on-site execution bottlenecks, conflicts, and interface issues between vendors
- Safety & Quality Assurance
- Enforce strict adherence to EHS protocols and project-specific safety guidelines
- Ensure daily toolbox talks, permit-to-work compliance, and incident reporting protocols are followed
- Monitor and control QA/QC implementation, material inspections, method statements, and ITP compliance
- Work & Invoice Certification
- Review and certify daily progress, material receipts, and milestone achievements at site
- Certify contractor bills/invoices for:
- Site measurements
- BOQ milestone completion
- Material delivery with MTC/LR/inspection notes
- Submit verified work reports to HQ Cost & Document Controller for payment processing
- Resource Planning & Supervision
- Lead and supervise a team of discipline engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, EHS, QA/QC)
- Align manpower deployment with project schedule and peak activities
- Coordinate temporary facilities (site office, water, power, internet, security, etc.)
- Reporting & Escalation
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and look-ahead plans
- Escalate critical issues (delays, safety violations, technical problems) to HO-based project leadership
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams for timely resolution of site queries (RFIs, TQs)
Candidate Profile:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (mandatory)
- Experience: 15–20 years in large industrial/EPC project execution, preferably with hydrogen, power, oil & gas, or renewable projects
- Proven experience in multi-vendor coordination, site package management, and cross-functional leadership
- Sound knowledge of contracts, quality systems, safety protocols, and execution methodology
- Familiarity with P&ID, GA drawings, project schedules, and BOQ-based billing
- Strong people management, conflict resolution, and communication skills
Organizational Reporting:
- Reports to: AVP – Project Execution (Green Hydrogen)
- Direct reports: Site Engineers – Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, EHS, QA/QC, Piping
- Interfaces with: Engineering, Procurement, Project Control, Cost Controller, Subcontractors
Additional Experience:
- Experience in Green Hydrogen, Hydrogen Storage, Electrolysis Plants, Power Projects, or Process Industries
- Worked on projects involving modular packages and international vendors
- Knowledge of Primavera or schedule tracking tools, and SAP/ERP-based PR/PO workflows
