Job Description

General Job Description

The Wind turbine Engineer/Senior Engineer will act as part of a team to achieve safe and efficient Operation and Maintenance of WTG. To attend the breakdown calls & to ensure the smooth operation of the WPP. To share ownership of WECs along with PM team for execution of PM as per stipulated Schedules. The Wind Technician will report directly to the Section In charge and indirectly to the Site In charge. Responsible for performing all 24 x 7 Operations of WTGs, preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on WTGs safely and efficiently. Also responsible for all site-related activities such as Safety Management, Documentation, Material management, etc. 

In the Role of shift in charge- Wind (O&M) your core responsibilities will be:
•    To lead the overall Operation and Maintenance activities at the respective site.
•    To ensure the smooth operation & health of the Wind farm assets. 
•    To operate and maintain windfarm with Maximum productivity and adherence to ReNew’s Standard.
•    To maintain the relevant MIS and Documentation as per the Policies and procedures of the company.
•    Daily reporting to the Key Stakeholders as per the requirements.  

Specific Responsibilities

•    Providing all the technical support for the effective functioning of the wind site.
•    Timely execution of PM, BM, Design upgrades, and special activities as per the plan
•    Undertake breakdown maintenance, document & maintain the service reports.
•    Timely confirmation of SAP service orders, materials issue & ordering, DGR reports, etc.
•    Overall resource planning of Windfarm- Manpower, Materials, and Tools and Tackles
•    To suggest efficiency improvement initiatives for the Site.
•    To monitor the Planned vs. actual budgeting for the respective site cost center
•    Customer interface & communication through routine & need based reports.
•    MIS – windfarm performance analysis, fault analysis, monthly reporting.
•    Liaising with electrical utilities for monthly joint readings, submissions to EB Offices & interactions to ensure better external grid availability.
•    Periodic electrical inspection, metering & calibration.
•    Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures 
•    Inventory and Spare management of the respective site.
•    To follow all relevant Quality and Safety Standards as per the company policy. 
•    Training of the site employees as per the requirements
