A security officer at a module and cell manufacturing plant ensures the safety of the facility, equipment, and personnel by monitoring surveillance systems, controlling access points, conducting regular patrols, responding to incidents and emergencies, and enforcing company security protocols. They must also document incidents, liaise with law enforcement, maintain security equipment, and prevent theft, unauthorized entry, or other threats specific to the manufacturing environment. 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Surveillance and Monitoring:Operate and monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems to detect suspicious activity, security breaches, or potential threats. 
  • Access Control:Manage and control access to the facility and specific areas, verifying visitors and employees, and ensuring that unauthorized individuals are prevented from entering. 
  • Patrolling and Vigilance:Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain a visible security presence, deter potential criminal activity, and ensure all areas are secure. 
  • Incident Response:Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, security breaches, emergencies, and other incidents. 
  • Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate logs of security activities, incidents, and observations, and prepare detailed reports for management and relevant authorities. 
  • Emergency Preparedness:Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies (like fire and ambulance services) during emergencies, assist in de-escalating tense situations, and follow emergency protocols. 
  • Compliance:Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and relevant local, state, and federal security regulations. 
  • Asset Protection:Protect the company's valuable assets, including modules, cells, equipment, and intellectual property, from theft and damage. 
  • Liaison:Establish and maintain effective communication with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders. 
  • Equipment Maintenance:Perform basic checks and ensure the proper working condition of security gadgets and systems.
