Job Description

Position: Deputy Manager - Wind Asset Management

Education: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 12 to 18 Years

Location: Bhuvad, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance Planning & Execution 

  • Plan, schedule, and execute 500-hour maintenance and special mechanical activities
  • Plan, schedule, and authenticate quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) activities in coordination with Regional Service Leads (ALs) and Service Engineers (SEs)
  • Release and monitor PM and retrofitting jobs in SAP for execution tracking
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and service quality benchmarks

2. Retrofitting & Large Correctives 

  • Plan, schedule, and execute mechanical retrofitting operations across sites
  • Lead execution of large corrective actions and critical breakdown interventions
  • Ensure timely implementation of design changes, upgrades, and engineering modifications

3. Reliability & Condition Monitoring 

  • Monitor health of WTGs through physical inspections and condition monitoring data
  • Conduct failure analysis of mechanical components and derive actionable insights
  • Recommend and implement reliability enhancement initiatives
  • Develop predictive maintenance strategies based on trend analysis

4. Resource & Inventory Management 

  • Assess adequacy of tools, tackles, spares, safety equipment, and manpower prior to scheduling activities
  • Validate and periodically update Bill of Materials (BOM) for PM, tools, jigs, fixtures, and safety equipment
  • Ensure calibration control of tools and equipment both physically and in SAP

5. Quality Assurance & Audits 

  • Conduct surprise audits of serviced WTGs to ensure quality compliance
  • Evaluate SIQA/SQA feedback and implement corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and 5S

6. SAP & Digital Compliance 

  • Monitor effective usage of SAP modules for PM, retrofits, and material transactions
  • Ensure timely closure of maintenance orders and accurate documentation

7. Knowledge Management 

  • Develop and maintain a “ready reckoner” of common problems and solutions
  • Build a centralized repository for mechanical learnings, case studies, and best practices

8. Safety & Compliance 

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and statutory regulations including IE rules, CEIG guidelines, and local SEB requirements
  • Promote a safety-first culture across all sites

9. Technical Support & Collaboration 

  • Provide technical support to sites for major mechanical issues and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, SCM, and central teams for continuous improvement
  • Support innovation and implementation of new technologies or practices.
