Job Description

Position: Deputy Manager - Hydro O&M
Education: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 8 to 15 Years
Location: Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor electrical maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of all electrical equipment, along with accurate maintenance documentation.
  • Assist in spare parts planning, inventory management, and procurement to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Minimize downtime during breakdown maintenance activities to reduce generation loss and improve operational efficiency.
  • Execute preventive and predictive electrical maintenance activities at the Power House, Barrage, and Surge Shaft.
  • Carry out electrical maintenance activities at company offices and residential accommodations.
  • Conduct material inspection, verification, and coordination with stores for inventory management.
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and breakdown analysis reports for equipment failures.
  • Prepare and maintain Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) documents.
  • Analyze relay event logs and line tripping data to identify faults and improve system reliability.
  • Ensure seamless data communication and coordination with NRLDC (Northern Regional Load Dispatch Centre).
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to electrical equipment and installations.
  • Maintain records, reports, and documentation related to maintenance activities, statutory inspections, and audits.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear, relays, transformers, generators, and hydro power plant equipment.
  • Expertise in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance practices.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in RCA, HIRA, and maintenance planning.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
