Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Controls and Instrumentation Head to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of all control systems and instrumentation for our Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia (NH3) plant. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in controls engineering, instrumentation, and a strong background in renewable energy technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
Lead the controls and instrumentation team, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
Develop and implement strategic plans for controls and instrumentation to support the plant’s production goals.
Manage budget and resources for the controls and instrumentation department.
Design and Implementation:
Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of control systems and instrumentation for the plant.
Ensure all systems are designed to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate control systems with plant processes.
Maintenance and Optimization:
Develop and oversee maintenance programs for all control systems and instrumentation to ensure reliability and performance.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize control systems and enhance plant performance.
Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical expertise and guidance on control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in control systems and instrumentation relevant to green hydrogen and ammonia production.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance plant operations.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all control systems and instrumentation comply with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team and the broader organization.
Project Management:
Lead and manage control system projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management.
Training and Development:
Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the controls and instrumentation team.
