Core Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations: 

Foster harmonious relationships between management and employees, acting as a neutral liaison. 

  • Grievance Redressal: 

Address and resolve worker grievances, conflicts, and personal issues to ensure smooth operations. 

  • Statutory Compliance: 

Advise management on compliance with labor laws and ensure the implementation of welfare policies and statutory obligations. 

  • Welfare Activities: 

Oversee and promote the implementation of welfare activities, including health, sanitation, recreation, and educational programs for workers and their families. 

  • Workplace Environment: 

Promote a safe, healthy, and positive work environment by supervising health and safety programs and conducting safety inspections. 

  • Employee Support: 

Provide support and counselling to employees on personal problems and facilitate assistance for issues like scholarships or claims for families of deceased employees.

  • Liaison: 

Serve as a communication bridge between employees and management to resolve conflicts and ensure understanding of policies. 

  • Advocacy: 

Act as an advisor to both management and workers, ensuring that labor welfare is considered in policy-making. 

  • Implementation: 

Oversee the development and execution of policies related to working conditions, welfare, and employee support systems. 

  • Monitoring: 

Continuously assess and monitor the effectiveness of welfare initiatives and workplace conditions to ensure they meet standards and employee needs.
