Job Description

Role Overview

The Land & Liaison (Legal) professional at the Kalupatti site will be the on-ground executor of land acquisition, government liaison, and legal compliance activities. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong command over State land laws, property registration processes, and community engagement at the village level — with specific focus on Compensatory Afforestation (CA) land acquisition and monitoring.

Key Sector Exposure – Hydro & Pumped Storage

  • Land acquisition processes including private land, government land, and forest land communications.
  • Property registration, mutation, and revenue record management.
  • Compensatory Afforestation (CA) land identification, acquisition, and plantation scheme implementation.
  • Village-level community engagement and Land Facilitator coordination.
  • Coordination with Revenue Department, Tehsildar, District Collector, and Forest Department offices.
  • Legal document vetting for land registrations, government engagement letters, and statutory applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support Land Facilitators in village-level engagements and interactions with government officials.
  • Manage property registration and mutation processes in compliance with applicable State land laws.
  • Monitor ground-level activities including encroachment prevention, community sentiment, and land-related disputes.
  • Oversee and validate the complete Compensatory Afforestation (CA) land acquisition mechanism from identification through plantation implementation.
  • Assist in preparation and vetting of all legal documents related to land acquisition and registration.
  • Coordinate with Revenue Department, Tehsildar, and District Collector offices for statutory processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all land parcels — ownership status, encumbrances, and legal position.
  • Support resolution of land disputes and litigations in coordination with legal counsel.
  • Prepare periodic land status reports for project management review.
