Qualification and Experience

  • Qualification: B Sc / M Sc in Horticulture / Agriculture / Forestry.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years experience in handling plantation / landscape projects

 Job Description

  • Day today monitoring of Horticulture activities at site such as selection of plant, plant propagation, crop production, plantation, nutrient management and Irrigation, weed management, disease and pest control, soil & water management etc.
  • Horticulture project execution through contract manpower – Timely execution of job as per WO, allocation of work to contract manpower, monitoring quality, MIS reporting.
  • Obtaining required Work permit, ensuring that all safety procedures are followed during Horticulture operations.
  • Manage given tasks as per SOP/ calendar of operation.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Identification & Knowledge of ornamental plants, fruit trees, plantation crops etc. & their maintenance operations including specific requirements of different categories of plants.
  • Hands on experience of plant propagation, crop production, plantation, nutrient management and Irrigation, weed management, disease and pest control etc.
  • Knowledge of soil & water management techniques.
  • Knowledge of landscape development & maintenance.
  • Efficient Labor management skills & knowledge of statutory compliances.
  • Ability to understand AUTOCAD Drawings
  • Experience of irrigation system installation, operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices in Horticulture.
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Power Point).
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to coordinate and work together with different departments, cross functional teams and to manage external communication with vendors and suppliers.
