Job Description
Maintain safe work environment in accordance with the HSE policy
· Day-to-day management and operation of the canteen services
· Manage Canteen Staff and workload of Canteen Staff
· Manage stock levels of the Canteen and timely ordering of stock
· Manage catering for functions when required
· Preparation and cooking of food
· General cleaning and maintaining of a hygienic kitchen
· Serving customers – staff and visitors
· Maintaining and balancing of financial transactions
. Security in the canteen such as money, keys, arming security alarms, locking all doors and windows, switching off all appliances and restricting entry to the canteen to only those who are authorised to be there;
. Ensuring that the cleaning incidental to the main function of the canteen is carried out daily (e.g. dusting of shelves and stock, wiping down benches, cleaning of all equipment and fixtures) in accordance to the cleaning procedures set out in the safety plan;
. Billing and invoicing as per company policy
. Work in co-ordination with canteen committee
· Any other tasks as determined by the company
