Job Description

Job Role:

In a role of Wind farm SCADA Engineer, you will take the responsibility of state SCADA infra & ensure to upkeep all deliverables at high level. You will be directly reporting Lead-SCADA Self O&M. Your core job is to carryout Preventive Maintenance of SCADA server & OFC network connectivity. Coordinate with site team for smooth/uninterrupted SCADA connectivity. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • To facilitate sites in maintaining the SCADA network in most efficient manner across the service.
  • To ensure to get optimum usage of the SCADA system all over service.
  • To suggest corrective / preventive measures to bring up / to maintain uninterrupted SCADA availability.
  • To evaluate and certify SCADA installation work executed by project installation team before handing over the project / WECs to service.
  • To bring in continual improvements in SCADA systems / database.
  • Maintaining IT asset and co-ordination for procurement of new IT assets.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Ensure round the clock availability of SCADA network at site.
  • Undertake PM, BM of OFC/SCADA and maintain necessary documentation as per the standards.  
  • Handing over taking over of commissioned SCADA infrastructure to service and clearing out the deficiencies.
  • Building up SCADA maintenance resources at each site viz. training of people spares-hardware/ software backup gadgets
  • Preparing spare provision plan for OFC and SCADA of respective sites.
  • Uploading of SCADA site data to the central server.
  • Control & monitoring station built up, hook up for countrywide SCADA data monitoring.
  • SDBMS server and software enhancement for technical analysts to do their jobs better.
  • Co-ordination with State Leads and Site In charges regarding SCADA related works of respective sites.
  • Co-ordination with teams within service for site SCADA activities.
  • Maintaining and ensuring of all SCADA related documentation as per the quality Standard requirements.
  • Preparation of pending point list of new projects completed by installation department to complete the handing over and taking over process.
  • Getting the completion dates for project pending SCADA works and its tracking.
  • Reporting about above day-to-day and weekly achievements to all India Service Head and getting the valuable suggestions or concurrences for crucial decisions.
  • Reporting SCADA availability as and when required.
  • To follow SAFETY practices countrywide while executing the work.

  • IG & PSS Health Audit on Sample Basis as per target
  • Special and Development Activities as per Directives
  • Kaizen and 5S Initiatives at site.

Profile & Eligible Criteria:

  • Minimum 5-9 years experience SCADA activities.
  • Diploma or BE in electrical with experience in SCADA. 
  • Must have strong SCADA knowledge
  • High level computer hardware and software skills
  • Safety conscious, Autonomy, and sense of initiative
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment
  • Team player & High level of integrity
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Should able to coordinate with external vendors to carryout work.
