Job Description
Role: Head – Land Acquisition (GJ) - Location: Ahmedabad (GJ)
Overall Job Objective: Design and implement land acquisition strategies and plans for renewable business in India.
Minimum Educational Requirement: Graduate /LLB and above, MBA /Post Graduation in public administration. Should have rich experience of land acquisition in Renewable Energy Industry.
Experience: 15 – 20 Years.
Roles & Responsibilities of the position:
1- Leading the land acquisition function for renewable business for under construction projects and pipeline projects in MP.
2-Develop strong and capable team with high level of competency. Responsible for acquisition of private, government, forest land for the project within specified time & cost and in line with the provisions of applicable law.
3-Preparing relevant proposals for acquisition of Revenue land/Forest land/Tribal land and securing requisite approvals from concerned Government authorities.
4-Managing and coordinating purchases of land for new projects covering procurement strategy, tendering, contract negotiation, purchase execution and meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements.
5-Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk.
6-Due diligence of title and other compliances as per applicable law.
7-Working with local administrative bodies to meet legal clearances and compliances.
8-Resolution of land issues in coordination with internal Land & Legal teams as well as external teams.
9-Strong networking with external stakeholders, District Administration, and law enforcement agencies for resolution of site disruptions, RoW and other local issues. Maintain smooth operation of site during the construction phase of the project.
Stakeholders: Internal: Projects / Admin / HR / Procurement / Engineering teams. External: Vendors, Auditors, administrative and Police authorities of respective state.
