Job Description

Role - Assistant General Manager - Inverter Specialist 

Location - Gurgaon - HO

Education - B.E. / B.Tech - Electrical or related discipline

Expericne - 10 -14 Years 

About the Role - We are seeking an experienced Inverter Specialist to lead inverter reliability and maintenance across our solar portfolio. The role will be responsible for ensuring high inverter availability, providing technical support during critical breakdowns, driving maintenance strategies, managing spares, coordinating with OEMs, and supporting site teams to maximize plant performance.

Key Responsibilities :-

Portfolio Inverter Management
• Own the performance, reliability, and availability of inverters across the solar portfolio.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
• Analyze inverter performance trends and drive reliability improvement initiatives.
• Standardize maintenance practices and technical procedures across sites.

Breakdown Support & Troubleshooting
• Provide expert technical support to site teams during inverter failures and major breakdowns.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure timely restoration of equipment and minimize generation losses.
• Support critical shutdown and emergency maintenance activities.

Spare Parts Management
• Define and maintain critical inverter spare inventories.
• Develop portfolio-level spare planning strategies.
• Monitor spare consumption and optimize inventory levels.
• Coordinate procurement and availability of critical components.

OEM & Warranty Claims Management
• Act as the key technical interface with inverter OEMs.
• Manage warranty claims, technical escalations, and service support activities.
• Track claim progress and ensure timely closure.
• Drive OEM accountability for recurring failures and reliability concerns.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination
• Coordinate with site O&M teams, regional engineering teams, asset management, and procurement functions.
• Provide technical guidance and training to field teams.
• Present inverter performance, reliability metrics, and action plans to management.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10-14 years of experience in Solar O&M, Power Generation, or Renewable Energy.
• Hands-on experience with Central and/or String Inverters across large-scale solar projects.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting, maintenance planning, OEM coordination, and warranty management.
