Job Description

Role Overview

The Civil Manager at the Kalupatti PSP site will lead all infrastructure planning, site establishment, and civil works management responsibilities across the full project lifecycle — from pre-construction through main construction. This site-based leadership role ensures readiness of all project infrastructure, logistics, and site ecosystem to support fast-track execution, effective contractor management, and smooth on-ground coordination.

Key Sector Exposure – Hydro & Pumped Storage

  • Infrastructure development and site establishment for large-scale hydroelectric and PSP projects.
  • Site logistics management including access roads, construction camps, material handling, and batching plants.
  • Pre-construction planning including construction water, power arrangements, and temporary works.
  • Civil works management including earthwork, concrete, drainage, and access infrastructure.
  • Coordination with contractors and local subcontractors for site infrastructure delivery.
  • Liaison with local government authorities for land access, permits, and local approvals.
  • Management of local community relations and local vendor ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of all site establishment activities for Kalupatti PSP including construction camps, offices, and project facilities.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure for project access roads, bridges, batching plants, and material storage yards.
  • Ensure timely availability of construction utilities including power, water supply, and communication systems at site.
  • Plan and oversee temporary works infrastructure required to support main construction activities.
  • Manage logistics for movement of construction materials, heavy equipment, and project supplies to site.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans aligned with construction schedule and critical material delivery timelines.
  • Optimize material handling and storage systems to minimize damage and facilitate just-in-time delivery to work fronts.
  • Engage with local government authorities for land access arrangements, utility connections, and local permits.
  • Manage relationships with local vendors and suppliers to support construction needs and logistics requirements.
  • Facilitate resolution of local community issues affecting site access, infrastructure development, or construction activities.
  • Maintain overall accountability for planning, scheduling, and site management from pre-construction through main construction phases.

Stakeholder & Consultant Management

  • Engage proactively with local and district authorities to secure permits, access, and statutory clearances.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local administration and community leaders to enable smooth land access and site operations.
  • Coordinate with engineering, project planning, and construction teams to align infrastructure readiness with project execution schedules.
  • Manage contractor relationships and resolve site-level technical and commercial issues.
