Job Title: Assistant General Manager – Business Finance, EPC

Roles and responsibilities :-
•    Work closely with project managers to provide timely transparency around project performance against budget
•    Ensure accurate project forecasts, incorporating known risks and opportunities
•    Ensure adherence to commercial terms and conditions and highlight associated risks
•    Organize project reviews throughout the life of each contract including coordinating the close-out process
•    Drive to improve project performance through change orders and supplier claims
•    Review, verify and process project related transactions (purchase requisitions, invoices, etc.)
•    Track, evaluate and work to mitigate contract penalties such as performance guarantees and liquidated damages for delays
•    Work with business team, forecast cash and LOC requirements
•    Ensure lender compliances related to project financing
•    Manage the available fund & responsible for movement between SPV & EPC, contract structuring etc. as well as contract management
•    Involved in identification of opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in Capex management, providing analysis and recommendations to enhance efficiency. •    Analysing Cost trends in detail , bringing insights on overruns/leakages
•    Manage relationship with Internal business stakeholders, supporting them with all financial calls to be taken
•    Recommend resolutions for the financial risks identified for the EPC Business
•    Lead and resolve Capitalizations issues, outstanding Advances, Payables, EPC Billing and Capex Provisioning for Project Cost closure
•    Institutionalizing Processes, finding Processes gaps and enabling closures

Experience Required: 12 to 18 years.

Education: CA/PGDM/MBA Finance(Major)
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present periodic project financials and analytics updates to senior management, highlighting key risks, deviations, and corrective measures across EPC
  • Lead Monthly Project Financial Reviews and Reporting: Ensure monthly reviews  end-to-end financial aspects of assigned projects, including revenue recognition, cost tracking, margin optimization, cash flow planning, and overall project profitability.
  • Drive Reporting on Key aspects of EPC across Solar, Wind including deep dive analytics.
  • Contract Compliance & Governance: Ensure all contractual obligations are met including performance guarantees, insurance coverages, tax compliance, and adherence to legal provisions.
  • Strategic Forecasting & Budgeting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for projects, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Audit & Special Assignments: Act as the financial interface for both internal and external audits, manage ad hoc assignments and support strategic business initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Liaison: Collaborate with internal teams such as Legal, Taxation, Treasury, and Accounting to manage and mitigate financial and compliance risks across projects.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • 12–18 years in business finance finance roles in infrastructure, energy, EPC, or related industries
  • Strong grasp of project controlling and reporting, commercial contracts, and risk management
  • Expertise in budgeting and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and project management tools
  • Sound understanding of taxation, accounting principles, and foreign exchange dynamics
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
