Job Purpose

Lead- Civil Construction Engineer (Execution & Monitoring)

Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for executing all the civil construction activities involved in execution of large scale MW Utility projects.
Should have good exposure of Site Management, Construction Management, Material Management and Manpower Management activities.
Responsible for formulating the organization defined process, procedure and SOP’s for civil contractors working at site.
Responsible for smooth interface & establishing excellent relationship with the contractors involved in various civil activities in construction of the solar power project.
Responsible for coordination with all the civil contractors for smooth flow of work progress as per contract deliverables with planning and control on the project.
Responsible to Analyze and assess the risk factors involved during the execution of work and report the same to the Civil Lead.
Responsible for preparation of daily work schedule and assigning the jobs to all the Civil Contractors/subcontractors with function wise job distribution.
Responsible for Planning, Scheduling, Tracking, Providing the direction and support to all the contractors/sub-contractors for execution of civil work smoothly and timely.
Responsible for managing a team of Junior engineers and technicians for supervising the work and ensuring the successful deliverables of assigned target.
Responsible for forecasting of Resource requirements for the planned and assigned work as per target.
Responsible for Constant Monitoring and Reporting the work progress to the Civil Lead.
Responsible for Quality of construction and workmanship for all the civil works awarded and assigned to various civil contractors/sub-contractors in the project.
Responsible to prepare a daily report on the work progress and plan for next day schedule.
Responsible for supporting the design team in preparation of all the As-built drawings for civil works involved in construction of solar power plant.
Responsible for Quality of construction and workmanship from all the contractors as per organizational targets.
Responsible to maintain the best safety practices at site with zero accident and safe man-hours as per organizational targets.
Responsible for applicable documentation and handing over of the project to O&M with closure all punch points.

Profile & Eligible Criteria

EDUCATION: Diploma/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering with Min 5 Yrs. of work Experience.
EXPERIENCE:

5 years’ experience in Construction Monitoring and Control of solar utility scale projects with Execution of Large Scale (>10MW Project) MW Solar PV Projects/Conventional Power plants/Electrical/EHV/ Transmission & Distribution Projects. Candidates would be preferred, who have experience in construction of solar PV power plant projects.
Should have executed at least 3 projects with a minimum capacity of 50MW.
Should have the working knowledge on usage of Total Station (TS), Auto level and Theodolite for survey and marking of the plant layout.
Should have good exposure in construction of Concrete Pile foundations for structure, RCC Building, Pre-engineered building construction, WBM Roads, Drains, Boundary wall and any other civil or mechanical structure involved in construction of solar power plant.
Should have good oral & written communication skills in English with sound knowledge on preparation of project reports, schedules, site Test reports, QA plans, FAT documentation and HOTO (Handing Over and Taking Over) documents.
Should have strong leadership skills and a good exposure & responsibility to lead a team of Junior Engineers, Technicians, contractors, and sub-contractors.
Should have good computer skills with well literate in MS Office.
Should have good exposure to Health & Safety work practices in execution of the project and implementing the same at the site with proper instructions to all the contractors and sub-contractors.
Should be able to handle the geographically spread-out project.
Should have expertise in reading all the civil and mechanical drawings
Should have a good knowledge base on the civil standards as per IS norms.
Should have good exposure & knowledge on concrete mix testing & all the civil material testing.
